The Huna Heiau Church, and its lala (membership)

I started on ke alanui e pono ia `o huna (The great path of Huna righteousness) in 1962, under kumu (teacher)  Kahuna Nui Max Freedom Long himself. I became a full member of the HRA (Huna's inner circle) in 1968 and became a daily devotee of the HRA's TMHG. Kahuna Max trained me in the Kalo of Huna (how to communicate with my Aumakua through the Tarot or Poker cards as words in the Kalo symbolic language.) It was so amazing to me, for once I could read them, they no longer fell at random, not at all. Kahuna Nui Max also personally trained me in the Huna Lore of Psychometric Analysis. I seem the be the only person left alive in the world who was actually trained by Kahuna Max or its creator, the Huna kupuna (Elder of Huna) Kahuna Oscar Brunler, MD in the Huna Lore of Psychometric Analysis.

Then Kahuna Nui Max Freedom Long died in 1971, and I was on my own−whether I wanted to be or not.

Using Huna alone, I made my living as a full time religious healer and exorcist for over a dozen years.

After a time, people I had healed came up to me and wanted me to teach them Huna — not to become Kahunas themselves, but sort of  Huna as first aid”.

And so the “Huna Heiau Church, Inc.” was born.

I continued to walk the Path of Huna as I saw it. Later on, I was to begin to teach new Kahuna, not Hawaiian Kahunas, after all, I’m not Hawaiian, but a Kahuna `o Huna. To me the HHC isn’t so much as an organization, but as a group of people who have decided to become fellow travelers with me, to see some of the mystical landscapes I walk in. We are an official State chartered Church, but we are really a fellowship of Huna.

This Huna fellowship aren’t just normal people; they’re spiritually gifted and needy at the same time.

They will have a need to tithe to put their money affairs into the hands of their Divine Nature or Aumakua, we approach our na Aumakua as keiki or little children. To enter into a state of reliance with our Aumakuas — as if they were real, which they are. We'll want to commune with our fellow travelers on ke alanui e pono ia `o huna (The great path of Huna righteousness) in our daily world-wide telepathic meeting for prayers, telepathy development, and communing through the Huna Ritual Payer of Huna — the TMHG to that Great Company of na Aumakua who are really the creators and in control of the development of Huna. We'll want to live the helpful and hurtless life — to try to heal others around us using our  Ki`i Kukui healing Icons I bless and breathe into existence for us, etc.

If you are being called to ke alanui e pono ia `o huna, then the process begins by you filling out the Credo and sending it to us, then there’ll be a back and forth between us with paperwork, and other things. Then you’ll be in like flint.

Eventually, you may feel called into deeper service and begin to learn for yourself the Huna Lores and bring them into your life. We already have the Kalo Course online and the Huna Initiation Course, then coming soon is the Huna Lore of Clairesthesia — the ability to talk with animals, and spirits and people at a distance. And the other Kahuna Huna initiations...

When the time comes, if it does, when your Path moves away from us, then we’ll miss you, but it is our teaching that each person must walk the Path they see in front of them.

In my personal opinion, I think Huna is the best religion in the entire world; and I insist on walking this Path myself. But in that insistence, I also have to give each other person the same right to choose which Path they walk on, or even to wander alone in the wilderness for a time, if they feel called to do that, or just want to...

The Huna Heiau Church is a very dogmatic and intense Faithwalk with Huna. It is for people who are spiritually ready for something really surprising and wonderful, or want to place Huna at the center of their life. To live its lifestyle. To participate in the relentless majesty of Huna.

For those who are ready to tithe to the Huna Heiau Church in order to rely on their Aumakuas for their bread each day. To enter into the Huna Ritual Prayer of the TMHG each day. To become an instant healer by the use of their Ki`i Kukui. To learn other wonderful things too. To walk ke alanui e pono ia `o huna with us.

For a more mainstream expression of Huna, one can not do better than the Huna Life International Church founded by that very fine man, Kahuna (Reverend) James Venable Alexander.

Aloha,

Kahuna Ho`anoiwahinenuiho`aLani (or just Lani amongst friends)
